Riding your bike is a great form of transportation that can save you money over driving and parking. If you live too far to ride the entire distance, keep in mind that TriMet buses, MAX, and the Portland Streetcar are equipped to accommodate bicycles.
Bike Parking
There are many bike racks throughout our bike-friendly campus. However, please be aware that some locations near our busiest buildings tend to fill up (e.g. Smith Center, Cramer Hall, Neuberger Hall). An available space to lock up can often be found just across the park blocks, near the Millar Library or Peter Stott Center. DO NOT lock your bike to trees, signs, handrails, or other non-bike rack furnishings. Your bike could be removed and impounded as a result.
Secured bike lockers can also be rented through the City of Portland's Bike Program, (503) 823-6841.
PSU Bicycle Cooperative
The Bike Co-op has is an on-campus cooperative bike shop, located at the University Center Building (UCB), on the corner of 5th & Harrison (just inside the parking garage). The Bike Co-op is open Monday through Friday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm while classes are in session.
For an annual fee of just $15, we offer access to tools, bicycle repairs and small parts/accessories. For more information about the Bike Co-op and bike related events on campus, visit the Co-op online.
